First of all, my husband and I are huge Subway fans. We are college students who splurge ourselves at your restaurant at least every month. We've had very positive experiences at Subway, until we traveled through the Lusk, WY Subway. On the sign was posted the price of a turkey salad: $6.00. This is typical, as we have paid this much for a salad at other Subway regions. My first complaint, therefore, is that I was charged nearly $8.00 for a salad. Upon further investigation with the cashier, she briskly informed me that I was being charged nearly $2.00 for "making the salad." I have NEVER been charged for "making the salad" at Subway. I believe that $6.00 is too much to pay for a bowl of lettuce and a few cucumbers anyway, but the store nonetheless lied in its advertising of its price. I told the cashier this and she said that this is what they always did, which is also not true because I have stopped by the Lusk Subway before and have not been charged for "making the salad." My second complaint is that they were out of several popular items and it was 2:00 in the afternoon! For example, they were clean out of tomatoes and several popular sauces. I wondered how they would get through the day without these ingredients. My husband’s sub was sloppily put together and there was little meat on it. Not only that, my $8 salad container was half full! I had to wonder if the employees had more tomatoes in the back. From the lazy, uncaring attitude of the employees, it wouldn't have surprised me if they just didn't want to go in the back and get some more supplies. Overall, I cannot afford to go to Subway chains that demand two extra dollars to do their job, find themselves unprepared without high-demand ingredients, and provide uncaring, snappy customer service. My husband and I usually go through Lusk four times a year, stopping by Subway each time. I hope the Lusk chain realizes that we will not be entering their doors ever again. It's a shame that the restaurant provided such a poor experience. We would have liked to occasionally stop by and recommend others to do the same; unfortunately, we will now do neither.
