Great little place, breakfast burrito very good & good size, lots of different latte choices with descriptions for non-connoisseurs. Great staff too.

Great coffee and teas and a wonderful staff!

I once was told that the fresh cinnamon scones at The Beta were “life-changing!” It's the truth. They have excellent teas (rivaling the local teahouse, in my opinion), and though I'm not a coffee drinker most of my friends insist it is the best place in town. They feature the work of local artists on one wall, have an old couch and guitar, “Beta books” where you can write/draw anything you want, and a small bookshelf full of surprises. It's clean, but not the sterilized-steel-and-overlit clean you often find at coffeshops. It's full of character and characters. The owners Mike and Meg are excellent people as well as proprietors. Mike is the author of a local bouldering guide and a great listener who has traveled the world. Meg is driven by passion. They encourage reusing those little to-go protector sleeves on cups, and have ceramic teapots and mugs for those wanting to sit and relax. Great all the way around.

The baristas are great, sociable and polite. One of the better small coffee shops I've been to
