Last night I went to the Irish Pub on Washington St. When I walked in the door I was amazed by this place's potential. Classic Irish beers on tap along with some nasty American favorites (Natty Lite, anyone?). Patroned by mostly med school students and nursing students, prepare yourself for some nasty tales about the human body when entering this place. I never expected to hear so much about spinal meningitis while enjoying a cold Harp lager...but I did...and in a sick way I liked it. 3 out of 4 beers awarded to the Irish Pub on Washington. Slainte, y'all.

Corned Beef and Hash was different but good. Cottage (Shepherd's) Pie was bad. I've never met a potato I didn't like until tonight. Both dishes came out warm but not hot. I really wanted to like this place, but you're better off trying something different. On a good note, the beer was good.

This place is not some knock off Irish pub. Other than being on the wrong continent, it's the real deal. You don't go to a pub in Ireland to eat. You go to socialize, hear some music, drink a Guinness and have fun. And you can do that here.

This has to be the worst bar I've ever had the misfortune to walk into. During a recent blizzard, I was stranded in Lewisburg and decided to sample a local pub. Upon walking in, I had to pay a $7 cover charge and upon asking what type of music the band was to play, I merely got a snobbish reply of "Good music." Then, I went to order a beer and found out I had to buy everything for $10 or more..even a single beer! I ordered Irish stew, which was pretty fair..and also cost $10 for a small bowl. I took a few bites of the stew, then got up to use the bathroom. Upon returning to our table, my wife and I discovered that the waiter or someone had swooped in and removed our stew and bread! So in essence, I payed 10 bucks for 2 bites of stew and a bite of bread! To sum up, the crowd and staff were rude, the prices were outrageous and the music was off key jazz..which I hate!! Unless you like throwing your money away, just keep driving past this place!
