A neat, very quaint, and favorite little coffee house and ice cream shop of mine. I used to go here my Junior year of High School when my teacher wouldn't have/didn't feel like having a plan that day: so our only plan was to find the tastiest ice cream possible, and that isn't hard to do :)
Whelan's has really come into it's own since moving into the larger space. They have something like 4 different kinds of chai lattes. Sit in the front for the classic Ice Cream Parlor setting, or go a little further back for a very well dressed, intimate lounge to chat over chess with a friend.
My favorite place to meet someone for coffee and/or enjoy some ice cream! Service has always been very good!
Nice quite atmosphere great place to read, or a date!
Whelans is good... Go there, buy something, you'll be pleased.
