lol @ the poster who rated it 1 star without ever going there. yeah, they don't take reservations, cry me a river. you seem incredibly self-centered and guess what, everybody who eats there has money dumba$$. was there just last night and the food is still kickass, the waiter made an awesome beer recommendation, and a great time was had by all. I've been there so many times but it continues to surprise me with just how great of a place it is and how lucky we are to have a nice hidden gem like the nova.

I've heard amazing things about this place and wanted to take my wife to a very special birthday dinner. Being from out of state, we wanted to place a reservation, so as not to have to wait after making the long journey. Well, they don't take reservations. Even after politely explaining to the host our situation the answer was still a firm no. First come first serve is the answer I got. No exceptions. Not a very good way to do business. Especially when someone is looking forward to a spending the kind of money that I l wanted to. This leads me to believe that my dining experience would have left the same bad taste in my mouth.

The Nova is our favorite restaurant in Hudson. We eat out at least once a week and continue to go back to The Nova. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere this is the place for you. The food is made to order so we understand that it may take a little longer than your typical chain restaurant and it is totally worth the wait. We have never had anything that has been less than exceptional. It's also nice that they add specials to the menu so it can be a surprise when there is something new. The service has always been wonderful. The beer and wine menu are superb. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who realizes quality food done very well.. :)

My wife and I have been to the Nova a few different times. It is a small place and very popular, so be prepared to wait, but it's worth it. Don't expect fast service, that's not the point, you're there to enjoy yourselves over a leisurely evening. In addition to the great atmosphere, beer and wine selection, the food has always been awesome.

The atmosphere was great, the bartender was very cordial, wine selection very good- however we never got seated to order dinner. Came in and hostess said 45 minute wait, 3 of us, but she said as soon as she seated some people from the bar at their table, there would be room at the bar and we could wait there. She seated us at the bar about 10 min later. 50 min later she passed with some newer people and seated them at a table, so we asked her when we would be seated and she said- I took you off the list when you were seated at the bar! We told her that was absolutely not what she had told us, and she said she would "check" when we could be seated, and NEVER came back. Passed us several times and NEVER stopped. And there was 1 EMPTY table. The bartender was very gracious but at 8pm after almost two hours we paid our bar bill and left. Won't ever go back until they get a new hostess. Sad too the wine was good. Disliked: Service from hostess.
