The timelessness of one of Wisconsin’s first great golf courses overwhelms visitors to Lawsonia’s golf courses from the moment they pass through the front gates. Two eighteen hole courses await golf purists and recreational players alike. The Links course’s par 5 13th hole stands out for it’s sheer grandeur. The fairway drops steeply about 120 yards from the hole before rising up just as sharply to a green surrounded by mature pine trees. The Woodlands course is highlighted by hole 3. After travelling an old stone road connecting the second green and the third tee golfers emerge from the woods with views of Green Lake and a downhill par three to a dartboard green. Shots to the left will be lost in thick vegetation while shots missed right can run down the hillside leaving a difficult pitch back up to the green. Lawsonia’s golf courses provide a truly classic golf experience for anyone willing to take a trip back in time to golf’s golden era.
