Was a great experience trying this for the first time. Very friendly, quaint atmosphere. Patty was so accomodating and gave us a little history while there. Had Jaeger Schnitzel and German meatballs. The food is delicious and portions are big and a great price. Also have meats for sale that they have used the same family recipes for hundreds of years from Germany, and a sauerkraut with pork and bacon. Will definately be going back again to try some more authentic german foods.
We recently hosted a very small wedding celebration at our Lake Home in Chetek. Because we wanted to share the limited time we had we with our family and friends and not in the kitchen - we talked to Patty and Norbert about catering options. They were very accommodating - delivering everything piping hot and .... delish. We had the smoked pork, green beans (hmmm...good), potatoes/gravy .... and more! It was a hit - I would recommend the Chetek Café anytime for breakfast or lunch ... but it was a great surprise to find out their catering options were not only good but affordable as well. Thank you so much!
If you want a good meal to start your day off this is the place to go. Food is always good and service is always quick
