Black Waters Coffee

Great latte! Service with a snarl... I felt like it was an imposition to order my coffee. They forgot my husband's coffee then slid it at him with a "here!" They turned off the lights at 2 after handing us our food. Ice cold pastry. Going from bad to worse!
We have been stopping here for several years now. We come to Beaver Dam six to eight times a year. We grab a few bags of coffee beans for home and often order a snack, small meal, and coffee drinks. We are coffee snobs and this meets our standards. It is not perfect coffee, but it IS very good! It is better than all the chains, and one of the best outside of Madison or Milwaukee! Their Ethiopian beans are perfect. We keep coming back so that is saying a lot.
The coffee was okay, although the vanilla syrup tasted off. Customer service was lacking as the girl taking my money seemed disinterested. Atmosphere is cool but probably not worth your time. I will not be back.
Ok. The coffee is fresh, locally roasted deliciousness. They have a great range of different roasts, etc; I like Rwanda. So the coffee is very good, but the bakery... oh man. Imagine a really good bakery and then remove any of the boring stuff, leaving only eye-widening goodies. Or pick your favorite treat from grandma, now make the pieces twice as big, and put more cream cheese in it... or cranberries... or both. See you there soon.
I have always liked the coffee. Recently, I have began eating meals there; the food is fantastic. The black bean breakfast burrito is delicious.
