Prospectors Bar & Grill

I love, love, love Prospectors! They have amazing drinks that are strong. They have a wide variety of food options that are all very tasteful. The wings are especially amazing. Also, the set up of the place is very pretty.
After hearing great things we were really disappointed. We were meeting family (about 20 people) at the restaurant for a birthday party. When our group walked up to the counter, there were three staff members conferring and we were ignored for a minute or two. Not even a hi, we'll be with you. When we sat down, the first thing my sister told me about was how rude our waiter had been to her while trying to organize putting some tables together. I'm a vegan and asked for a sandwich. They said they could substitute some mushrooms and veggies for the meat. The waiter came out and said that the bread was not vegan, but they would wrap my sandwich in lettuce, which was fine, but what I got was a few pieces of lettuce wrapped around totally raw mushrooms and celery. I asked for a sandwich and received what was essentially a salad with no dressing. My husband had the fish and shrimp dish and said the cod was overcooked and tasted old. His brother had a burger and it was so overcooked that it was dry. The food took forever to come. Dinner for the two of us ended up costing $40 and the portions were not very big. We would have complained and sent our food back for sure if it wasn't a birthday party.
Went to dinner with friends and the staff is great we got seated with in a couple of min and our server was very nice and very helpful with any questions we had I would defentley go back again and recommend this place for big gatherings as they are really big inside and have a huge banquet room but over all we had a great time and would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!
Despite the other reviews I decided to give Prospector’s a whirl, it was Saturday night and there we plenty of cars in the parking lot. The first thing I noticed was the décor: a well maintained and trendy lodge motif. The second thing I noticed was the wait staff, very attentive and they must have had a dozen people working the floor; I was seated immediately. My waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The menu was as expected and prices were on par with higher-end steak houses. I ordered the Kobe steak (medium with my favorite Montreal seasoning) and bake with French onion soup. Both appetizer and entrée were served in timely succession with good presentation. The soup was warm but a tad cooler than expected, taste was excellent. The baked potato was excellent and the steak was prepared perfectly. I ordered an Irish coffee from the bar for desert, nothing special but plenty of “Irish” so I was satisfied. All in all I’d say it was a positive experience and it appears Prospector’s has gotten their act together.
Lunch was the philly sand. It was nothing special.
