I would recommend Casa Vino to anyone looking for a great place to catch up with friends, colleagues or loved ones. They have an extensive collection of wine, cheese and breads and a laid-back atmosphere. The service is also friendly and timely, with the owner often there to educate those interested, in the wine he carries. Check it our for yourself!
I don't recommend this place at all. The owner is shady with his employees and doesn't pay them what the state mandates. Knowing that someone would have such little regard their own employees makes me wonder just how much he cares about the patrons who frequent here. I am sure there are better places to spend your time and money. Wine is wine. It's all about the people in my opinion... and I'm just not a fan of this one.
The furnishings inside the building are nicely done, very relaxing atomosphere. The owner is fun to talk to... you can tell he really enjoys life and people. Bottle prices on the high tiered wines are very close to suggested retail price as compared to the typical 250% mark-up over wholesale. Casa Vino has very very good selection of wines. Included with your purchase of wine (either by glass or bottle) is a fresh baked baguette with a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dipping plate. You may also order various appetizer dishes for (2) or more people. They do a good job in their presentations. During the summer, you can enjoy the outdoor patio. Amici's Piper Strand has joined forces with Casa Vino and will be expanding the wine bar's food menu.... see you there!
