A trip to Doc's in Ocean Park, WA, is like a trip back in time. The punchboards hang from a wire above the bar. You take one down and wait for the barkeep to give you a punching tool. Then you punch out small pieces of paper to unfold to see if you match any of the lucky numbers. You could be playing for a jar of olives, or Doc's Tavern logo items. It's your choice when you choose your punchboard. There are also bins of pull-tabs behind the bar for 50 cents a try. Vending machines elsewhere in the bar give you a chance to win for 25 cents a try. If you don't want to gamble there are pool tables and a shuffleboard. Enjoy the beers. Rub elbows with the locals. It is all part of the experience.
