I had a great experience at the Bear Creek Lodge this weekend! I was a bit concerned that it would either be too fast for our 6-year-old son or too slow for me to have fun. We both had a blast! Like a good Disney movie it has enough for both kids and adults alike to have a great time. The staff was great and really helpful to my son and I. The lodge had great food / drink and was a great throw-back to an old-school mountain lodge done well. We really had a good time and it was definitely one of our highlights for the Winter. We'll definitely be back!

A friend and I are planning weekly visits after our first experience! Sam Deal is very friendly, as well as knowledgeable about the park. We take advantage of a driver service he offers to mountain bikers allowing you to meet your car at the bottom of the trail! So much nicer than taking two cars, also way less gas. The downhill ride takes us about 45-80 mins depending which trail you take. He welcomes new comers just likes a call to know your coming so he can be available as soon as you arrive.

Sam is quite the dude, don't pay attention to negative reviews! Sam told us the best hiking in the area, and then proceeded to drive us up to trail head and brought our car back to be waiting for us for our post hike "carb reload". Wonderful beer available, amazing food, and wonderful service. Karen can cook like no one's business! We stayed in the campground, but after seeing the rooms we are planning on heading up for a night in the lodge accommodations.

Our 6 year old son just had a snow tubing party for his "golden birthday" at Bear Creek Lodge. We booked the whole tubing hill. Everyone who came to the party kept saying it was the most fun they ever had at a birthday and our son said it was his best birthday ever! It even beat out Chuck E Cheese! The owners Sam and Karen are the nicest people. They were both there catering to our huge group of people despite it being superbowl Sunday and pretty crazy. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere is so comfortable and homey. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sam Deal, you are a liar and the rudest owner I have ever encountered in my life. I was with the Birthday Party Stephanie Steinman is referring to in her post. The waitress was embarrassed by you and was apologizing to us for your poor treatment of our group. You did double charge for someone, because I was standing right there. You were rude to my husband and to me with regard where to pay and what was needed. Your staff told us we could rent out the hill for much less than you charged us and they said it didn't matter what day it was. We did NOT trash your lodge, but left it cleaner than we found it. We did NOT throw cake, but shared with you and your staff. I have never been treated so rudely in my life and the fact that a business owner would rather see business go up the hill and write poor reviews about their experience only show me that you do not care about the public or your reputation. A simple conversation could have saved the day. In this world, your actions speak volumes for your character and you sir are rude and a liar. I am appalled at how you handled this situation. When all your staff and wife are apologizing to the group, perhaps you should look in the mirror and ask yourself if YOU are the problem! Shame on you SAM DEAL for running such a poor business. KARMA sir will be your demise!
