My husband and I had date night here last week. We both loved it so much. We are not drinkers so can't comment on that but I had the pulled pork and it was amazing. My husband had the brisket and it was the best either one have us have ever tasted. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff, we will be back.
I've been to Hop'n'Grape a few times before last night and always had an ok experience, the portions are small for the price but that's usually how it is at smaller local restaurants. However, generally a smaller shop will try to make up for that with great customer service. After last night I, nor anyone else in our party of 6 will ever be returning there. We came in at 5pm thinking there would be a dinner rush (it was a Saturday) instead it was seat yourself and half empty. Since we were a party of 6 we took the larger table on the wall right next to the bar. At the time there were about 5 waitresses standing behind the bar with maybe 3 tables of 3 occupied. Not exactly busy. No one greeted us or asked if we wanted drinks the entire time. We made eye contact, asked for service and basically begged to be waited on. They just stood there chatting to each other. The man with the stache who I've been told owns the place walked past us and his staff and did nothing. We left went right across the street to Los Pepes and had a fantastic experience. I guess Hop'n'Grape feels established enough they didn't need our business, so we will happily oblige them.
This is my favorite place in town for great food and brews! Variety, quality, and atmosphere are all tip-top. If you do come during a peak hour don't expect the food to show up McDonalds-fast. Instead get started with a good beer or wine, and enjoy.
Can't beat this place. Great food, rotating craft beer menu, awesome staff. Hands down the best restaurant in this area.
Best kept secret in Longview. I often travel to longview for work. I didn't even know there was a restaurant there until a friend suggested it. Food is excellent. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the service the first time I went in. I ordered to go and was told 15 min. It took 30min.
