Toscano Cafe Bistro

without question the food is the reason to visit this place. i found the ambience a bit forced and the decor in desperate need of a stylish update. as for the owner she looks the part of the great mama leone but sadly she is lacking the great ladies' charm and tableside joie de vivre. perhaps it was simply an off night for everything but the delicious seafood in cream sauce which was oh so delicioso!
The New England Clam Chowder was the best I've ever had. Lots of big pieces of clams, potatoes, and carrots. Arrived for opening of lunch. All food was excellent, this is the best non-breakfast, non-fast food restaurant in the area.
Toscano Cafe & Bistro is fabulous! Their dinner menu is varied and interesting, the food was hot and delicious. We also enjoyed Easter brunch there and it was excellent! We LOVE the service we received, and cannot say anything was "average" about our experiences at this restaurant. It is our new favorite!
A wonferful bistro setting. Always excellent food, great ambience, and superior wait staff. Feels like an evening with friends every time. Our favorite relaxing spot after a hard day at work. Chicken Piccata to die for.
We expected to have a nice quite birthday celebration only to find ourselves eating in a noisy bar environment. The bar had a large party that got louder as they consumed more and more drinks. The food was great but we could not enjoy the meal or hold a converation among our party. With the quality and price of the entrees, we would expect a better dining experience. If you do plan to dine, there I recommend that you make sure you are seated in the small dining area off the main room that holds the bar. The environment in the main dining room would be better suited for pub fare.
