We liked Willaby's at the old location and waited far too long to visit the newer location along the water. When we finally did visit, we were quite pleased. The menu, atmosphere and staff were all above average for the region. I can't wait to return for the hush puppies. We will be back soon.
The food is yummy, the service is wonderful. Their lemonade is the best I ever tasted. Everything made fresh daily. FAST FORWARD to April 12 & 13 1014: We had Willaby's cater both the BBQ/Oyster Roast on Saturday and then brunch the next morning. The food was delicious and the service superb. I was able to enjoy my own party as they took care of EVERYTHING. Everyone had a fantastic time and Willaby's catering made the whole event a breeze. The wild caught local oysters were roasted perfectly on site. The BBQ pork and grilled chicken were absolutely wonderful. All of it was excellent. For brunch, the french toast was to die for. We thought we might have a lot of leftovers, but we fed our house guests Sunday evening and Monday morning and all was completely devoured. Thank you William and Patty for making our party such a raging success!!
It's a little of everything. Not a place your going to be blown away by, but it's really really good. The food, the view of the river, the staff is all just really really good. It's comfortable, Everything on the menu looked good, and that was the toughest thing, deciding what to get. The COFFEE is FANTASTIC!!! It may not be a big deal to you, but it's awesome. I think they get it roasted locally. Lots of choices for desserts. We're going back from Virginia Beach.
Willaby's is an iconic favorite on the scenic Rappahannock River. Food is fantastic, service is prompt friendly, an unpretentious. Be sure to try any with dish with oysters when in season.
