Starlite has been one of our favorite hangouts for years! It seems like the "Cheers" of Richmond. Familiar faces remember your name. Great bar food and sandwiches. The porch is a great addition to "people watch" and enjoy the busy street. Parking could be better, but hey, that is Richmond.
Lived in RVA for almost 8 years and had never been here. Tried it and was severely disappointed. I'm sure it's a great spot for drinking, but as far as a restaurant...I have to say it falls pretty short of anything close to average. Now our waitress was nice, if not a bit lost on how to do her job. The food was...bland. Later on both my guest and I also got stomach cramps, not bad enough to make me want to point fingers, but definitely had me wondering about food poisoning. Overall there is just nothing really special to differentiate this from any other place you could find, and the food itself was so banal that it subtracted a star. Take a short 2 block walk into Carytown and go to NY Deli
Fun and unpretentious. Awesome alcohol selection, good food and service, great music and bartenders, everyone is friendly and good looking...even the manager is smoking hot. Been coming here for years and not about to change.
I love Starlite! It's a local fav for a reason! The staff is friendly and the food is great... Enchilada Tuesdays people! Starlite is the kind of place you can take your family for a meal or dance the night away with your friends... BY FAR MY FAVORITE BAR IN THE FAN!
This place is good for all people. Great food for dinner and brunch. Fast service for those on the go. But the main attraction to me is the great bar scene. Always a fun place with great music and a lot of fun people. See some old friends and meet some new ones but I always a good time. Also some of the best fastest bartenders in town. Entertaining and great drinks. You just can't find a better bar in the fan. Look out for all the specials too as I love the simple dinner at a great price. Favorite lunch for me is the Club Starlite or the Beef and Bird. Favorite Brunch is the Steak and Eggs with a Filet for the Beef.
