We were recently down visiting my in-laws, his parents, over the Christmas holiday and were looking for a place to watch the Saturday NFL games - Go STEELERS! After calling around to a number of places we were referred to Rookies by the bar manager at Jonathans (as they were closing early) as a really great place to go and watch the game. Upon our arrival at Rookies, we were greeted in a friendly manner and served promptly. There were a few other out-of-towners watching the games as well as numerous locals. Throughout the game, we chatted and spoke with various customers and Rookies personnel. We were made to feel at home and had a wonderful time watching the game. The service by Melinda was exceptional and we are definitely planning on returning the next time we are in town visiting. We did end up leaving earlier than planned (as I didn't want to cause a scene) due to my overhearing some offensive comments made about my husband and I by a couple near us (Pssst, if you're going to sit right next to someone I advise you not to talk so loudly to each other about the people sitting next to you if you don't like the way they look). Once again, beside this couple, everyone esle was very nice and friendly and we will visit this establishment again.
