Have eaten at this restaurant many times. The negative comments in some of these reviews sound like they were written by people who were confusing Brookside with some other place.
Completely scrumdilumptious!!! Im a picky eater and i am a critic by happen stance but this has been my favorite in the whole north area. Just completely perfect. Food, service, experience. I wish i can take them with me to Florida.
The breakfast was simply delicious! My favorite was the Virginia ham. The coffee was great, as well. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. Of course, I'm partial to all things "country", but I submit that this truly was a great dining experience.
Since this seems to be the 24th good review I will keep it simple and say that our time at the cabins was bliss, and the food at the restaurant was unbeliveable! I probably gained several pounds during that trip due to that restaurant, and it was totally worth it. Do NOT forget to take some of their bread home with you! Mmmmm
The food is excellent at this little diner-style restaurant and kept very clean. The buckwheat pancakes are great breakfast before heading into the mountains.
