The over half a century family owned diner "Hob-Nob Drive-In" is a delicious Mom-n-Pop style diner located right here in the quaint little SW Va town of Gate City. This place really should be on everyone's list of favorite weekend spots to grab a quick afternoon lunch from. If you're in the mood for a classic American meal, I would highly suggest stopping by here to eat a "Super Double Bacon Cheeseburger," an order of fries, and a big chocolate milkshake to go with it. I always have a heck of a time finishing that combination, but for a meal like this, it's with it!!
I can remember when the Hob Nob first opened. I was around 7 or 8 years old. My mother would stop there for a hot dog every time we went to Clinchport to visit my grandparents. My family and I have visited the Hob Nob many times over the years. We now live in California but every time we go back to VA for a visit, we go to the Hob nob and have their world famous hot dogs. The Hob Nob should be placed in the record of Virginia historic places.
