I wish I could say that I enjoyed my last experience at Oddfella's. I've eaten there a number of times and it has gone downhill, unfortunately. This last time I had a date. Fifteen minutes after we were seated, the waitress had not even stopped by our table. I was tempted to leave but we were so hungry... this is never a good sign, uh. So I went back to the hostess station to address the issue and there was no hostess. I stuck my head into the kitchen and told somebody about the situation. A few minutes later a man comes to our table and he is our new waiter. I found out later that he is also one of the owners. This was ok, but he really doesn't know how to wait a table, and he reeked of cigarette smoke, which we both found disgusting. The food was passable I suppose but this place is way over priced for the type of place it is and the quality of the food and awful service. Somebody needs to buy this place and turn it around. There aren't many real restaurants in Floyd and this place hits the mark on location and image... but you'd have to literally be an odd fella to enjoy it in it's current state.

Hit or miss but worth it when the get it right. I have had amazing meals here, and at other times the same dishes left me with "what happened?," it used to be awesome. So far it is 50/50. Fortunately when my family came to town it was awesome.

Went here for lunch after walking round the nearby Fairy Stone park. Decor is relaxed with some local art on the walls. Waiter was really friendly. Food was great - not incredible but definitely a few levels above standard cafe fare and good value for the money. Highly recommended.

I used to be a student at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. I would on special occassions drive 45 minutes one way on winding back roads more or less just to eat at Oddfellas. I haven't visited oddfellas in a couple years, so take this with a grain of salt. It is quite a treat, well worth the visit if you are anywhere nearby. Not only is the food absolutely amazing, but the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff very friendly. They often have live music in the evenings, with schedules on their website, lots of fun even if it isn't your favorite music since it is such a small, cozy place. As a result, make sure to get reservations. You simply have to try oddfellas.

hair, raw meat). May consider one more time when back in Floyd. Cook obviously overwhelmed. Good service though.
