We went to the Blue Heron a few years ago after a bad storm and they were out of power running off a generator. Had I not seen the generator I would have had no idea they were with out power. The food and service were amazing and it was by candle light. I have gone back several times after that and always the same great service and delicious food. The covered deck is nice to sit out on and have cocktails (which are also good). It's certainly a place we will continue to go back to.
I've ate at Rivers Rest countless times and loved every meal. My personal favorite is the Captains Filet. This place has an absolutely amazing view of the river too.

AWESOME.......REALLY ENJOYED THE FOOD ,THE SERVICE AND THE VIEW.......AND THE FERRY SERVICE WAS JUST ICING ON THE CAKE !
The food was good but the obnoxious drunks on the deck made this one of the most unpleasant dining experiences we have ever had. The waitress tried many times to get the guys to tone it down but she was never backed up by mgt or anyone else. Definitely NOT a place for families!!!!!
