Very pleased with this restaurant! Good food, good prices, friendly service, great view, and CLEAN bathrooms. The owner was ready for our grandson with readymade paper airplanes -- the best we've ever seen. Upon leaving he took us into the parking lot for flying lessons. We all left much happier than when we had arrived. Expect us back on the return route!
Can be difficult to see at night but well worth finding. I asked for Thai food as a previous poster had mentioned and it was excellent. Folks next to me had spaghetti and a shrimp dish both looked good. Pecan pie was made in house so I had a piece--perfect (not too sweet and solid crust). Service was on the spot. I'll be back next time through.
Overlook the older reviews, the restaurant for about the past two to three years is run by experienced restaurant owning Thai couple who genuinely care about their customers. If you're lucky there is sometimes Thai food on the menu or you can ask, but being a roadside restaurant next to a hotel it is mostly well made American style food. Don't live close enough to eat there often but stop by when we're traveling through.
Reviewers must be praising the dinner menu. The lunch menu is simple sandwiches. The view is ok, same view you have along the highway while driving through the Blue Ridge on 81.
Very caring owner. Food is average with a decent view overlooking major road and then the mountains.
