Perfect place to eat-wonderful atmosphere/food, and yet affordable.
Best restaurant in the panhandle!
My wife and I went there one Saturday night to try their steaks. When the steaks were brought to us I cut into mine and it was undercooked. I told the waitress and she gave me a funny look and snatched up my plate and said as she was walking away,"I'll try not to SPIT ON IT" WE WONT BE BACK.
We visited Maxey's in October of 2010. We had been driving forever and arrived in mid-afternoon during the lull between lunch and dinner. The staff was trying to get things ready for the dinner hour but stopped what they were doing to accommodate us. The service was excellent and very friendly. My companion's steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as it was ordered. His only regret is that he didn't order a bigger one and he savored the flavor all the way back to Florida. My salad from the salad bar was wonderful: fresh and crisp with lots of items to choose from.
Excellent Steak!!! Had the "Roughneck Special"Cuts like butter...I would definately recommend this resturant to everyone. The Owner helped me as I got an order To-Go, and she is the sweetest lady. Very Polite. This Steak is 1000 times better than the Big Texan Home of the 72oz steak in Amarillo.
