The place has been renamed, but you'll know it as the store on the NE corner of 380 and 183/283, the main intersection in Throckmorton. It is packed by locals after church on Sunday, which shows you that it's worth eating at. This is Southern comfort/soul food at its best - delectable and crispy fried chicken, plenty of veggies, creamy and buttery mashed potatoes, great desserts. I absolutely recommend staying away from chains and going the extra mile to eat in Throckmorton.

It was a fun stop. The tacos were good as were the onion rings. The burgers are excellent.

What a great surprise this place was! We are traveling between Lubbock & McKinney, Texas on 380 & wanted to find a good local place to eat. We googled & found "Between the Forks" in Throckmorton...what a well kept secret!! We were too late for the buffet, so we ordered burgers. They were delicious & the onion rings...wow! Hand cut & battered...the best we have ever eaten! Be sure & take the time to look around... Renee, the owner, has done a darling job of decorating, especially in the Ladies Room. Drive out of the way if you have to, but don't miss this place!
