There is very little Texas tradition at Texas Traditions. My wife and I ate there twice, just to give a fair rating. Disaster both times. Our latest venture on 11/15/2014 included catfish, hushpuppies and stuffed crab that was cold on the inside and burnt on the outside. Easy to see the grease was too hot and the food did not get cooked inside. We asked that our dessert be warmed up, it was cold. In front of the waitress, I took a bite of my pie and pulled out a piece of plastic. She just laughed and said "sorry". The Coke Zero I was served expired Dec 23, 2013 and was flat. This is 2014! Sweet tea is a traditional Texas drink.....no such thing as sweet tea at Texas Traditions." We will never go back.

I will never go back. I have eaten here many times for lunch and dinner, and usually it has been good. Today, after arriving early for lunch (only four other tables were there) it took over 30 minutes to get served, and then the food was cold. Two of us ordered the special of the day. The other two orders only required making one half sandwich and other items just needed to be plated and warmed. We were on a tight schedule to get back to work, so we had to take most of the food because we did not have time to eat. At the register when we were asked about our experience, we shared these comments with the owner. He suggested that we "waited to order" - NO we said. He said and "you changed tables" - YES when another friend joined us, but we had already ordered and she only ordered the salad bar. Neither of those excuses impacted the length of time or temperature of the food. The owner made it out to be our fault saying I could have sent the chicken and dumplings back to reheat. I said we did not have time; when the food was delivered we asked for to go boxes. He said he was sorry about that. I earned two college degrees working in the restaurant business. If a restaurant wants return business, it needs to make the customer happy. Offer to discount the price, offer to take off the drink, offer a dessert, offer a business card with a discount or free item on the next visit. DO SOMETHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT WITH THE CUSTOMER. Please understand - I am not out to get something for nothing or get something for free. I just want to be a valued customer which clearly I am not. I will not return - and I will share this unpleasant experience with all.

Ate lunch there a couple days before Thanksgiving. Decided to order my pies for my Thanksgiving dinner. Their bakery items looked amazing. Order the Jack Daniels Pie - It was to die for. Staff was friendly. Can't wait to eat there again. Thank you Franek Family :)

The filet mignon was delicious and cooked to perfection. We didn't try their desserts, but they looked amazing. The owner was very friendly and came by to all of the tables to say hi.
