Was hungry and accidentally found this place. (Other places closed on Sunday). A Angel waited on us and had a big smjle when she recommended the steak. We each ordered an 8 oz steak and were pleasantly surprjsed. Home made mashed potatoes and a salad bar with several home made salads. Yum
I'm the friend of Biloxijohn and I just had to add my praise to his. My burger was excellent. For burger aficionados, I'll describe it thusly: small amount of grease, so it's not a dry burger, but the grease works with the toasted bun. I had them grill my onions, and that worked great with the bold flavor in the patty that was obviously hand-formed and fresh. Lettuce, tomato, and onions were plentiful enough to fall out of the burger, so you KNOW that's a good burger! If I'm within 30 miles of Muleshoe again, I'll eat at the Dinner Bell.
A friend and I stopped in at the Dinner Bell today. It just happened that we were passing thru Muleshoe on the way from Albuquerque to Abilene right about lunch time. There were quite a few cars parked in front, so we figured it couldn't be too bad. We both had a great meal. He had a hamburger with onion rings and I decided to try the buffet. The fried chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and cole slaw were outstanding and his hamburger was exactly like he ordered it and it was a generous patty bigger than the bun. I tasted one of his onion rings and it was also obviously made from freshly sliced onions. There was one piece of pie left on the buffet, so I decided to try it, too. A light, fluffy, peanut butter pie with chocolate chips that was one of the best I've ever tasted. It's unlikely that I will ever be thru Muleshoe again, but I highly recommend the Dinner Bell if you find yourself there at lunchtime.
The staff complained about having to work and it was clearly visible on their faces that they were not happy to receive customers. The salad that came with my dinner was from a bag and I had to scrape from the dressing container to get a drizzle on my salad.
Just eh. Been a few times and never been impressed
