Jolly Fox Club
Reviews

Loved the crow side (bands, piano playing) this side is more classy with nice lighting and no smoking. The fox side is very upbeat awesome dance music and lots of space (smoking). Cheap drinks amazing atmosphere and staff is very friendly.

I had never ever been discriminated against in my life here in Texas, but at this particular place back in the days of the Summer of 1979 I can still remember what happened back then...just outside the parking lot of this most famous Jolly Fox Disco...just as my friends and myself were fixing to come in to this place...there was a small group of Anglos that started calling us obscene names and cursing us, my longtime hometown friend Gilbert Rodriguez starting whopping one of them dudes real good, then another one jumped in just to get some more whopping from my friend Gilbert...then when another dude was going to jump in, I stopped him with my knife so he stopped, but then another dude started at my friend Gilbert with a broken beer bottle, which created an ugly cut to my friend's fist...so when the Hunstville Police arrived, all these dudes scared ran off leaving us all alone...so my friend was taken by an ambulance to the Hospital for some treatment to his cut fist...then we finally came out of the hospital and went back to the Foxy Club to drink some beer...But the next day we almost lost our jobs back at the State Prison Farm due to the police reports about our altercations with these Sam Houston State University students which my friend Gilbert beat the crap out...but luckily we didn't got fired...but it was a very close call...But this small town of Trinity is a very prejudice silly little town to live in, which we happened to stay there for about 8 months...thank God we survived that nasty place, wow! But that Jolly Fox Club was a great entertainment venue for all of us prison guards having a little fun in our days off and partying with the female students was out of this world, I can still remember the good times, like it was yesterday, wow!

3 dollar buckets of beer Anne awesome music. U can't beat that
