The Blue Moon BBQ is the best in the Brazos Valley. It is a little pricey, but they make up for it with portion size, taste, tenderness, and hospitality. Just like having a home cooked meal. They also have fresh homemade pies and cakes just like my grandma use to make. Try the cowboy cornbread it is a meal in its self. Prime Rib sandwiches with the dipping sauce makes you savor every bite. Everything is sooooooooo tasty. This is my new BBQ place I don't mind driving the extra miles or paying the extra cost for the BEST BBQ.

My wife and I stopped there as we were coming back to Bryan from Camp Creek and I remembered it was on the 'bucket list' of places to visit in the Brazos Valley by KTBX. Service was outstanding. Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Price was slightly more expensive than I was expecting - but they have kind of a captive market out there (literally in the middle of nowhere). The quality of the food was below what I would expect from a chain, much less a place that had a real pit. I had a 3 meat plate of brisket, sausage, & ribs. The brisket was so dry I could not finish it. The ribs were moist, but flavorless. The sausage seemed to have the same flavor as Slovacek available in grocery stores (which to be fair, is pretty good). All in all, I don't think I'll be going back there again.

Amazing food, definitely worth the drive. Prime rib on Thursdays is awesome.

Simple country BBQ place with gigantic glasses of tea and wonderful food. Gracious servers, too.
