Went to Mano's and it was surprisingly good. I saw the Chicken Fried Steak as it passed but I had enchildas, rice and beans. I asked for a guacamole salad and when it came it was huge! Good food and nice people. Manager, or possible the owner came by several times to make sure we were good and I would go back.
You know its bad Mexican food when people only eat the chicken fried steaks and chicken.
WHAT IS EVERYONE THINKING?!?!?!?! Yes, the place is packed, yes, the owner is very friendly, but the food is rediculous! It's like mexican night at an elementary PTA meeting. The queso is nothing but cheap easy melt with NOTHING in it. The salsa, bland and boring. I had the fajitas and it was the cheapest skirt steak you can find with no flavor whatsoever. hands down, the worst mexican food i have ever had. i think people in florence are just in love because it has been there forever, and the owner makes you feel very welcomed. well, not good enough Mano's, my family will never be back.
Try and stop there every time we go to Austin, if not for a meal we at least try and get their chips and salsa. The owner is very nice and friendly. His Brisket Tacos are AWESOME. They don't always have them but when they do you won't be disappointed. Good Cheap Food!
The pork chops rock,gets packed pretty quick on the weekends so get there early!
