Best hookah bar in Denton!
Question: what time does it open?
Hookah lounge - service great, but it is truly a high school (definitely underage) and college hang out where you can bring your own beverages (yes even alcohol) and even food if you want (saw some kids with subway bags). $15.00 per hookah and it was just okay. Don't expect any vibe or mood here, stark empty place with just tables and chairs. Little dog wanders around, don't pet him he bites.
WARNING!!! THE RUDEST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!!! UP UNTIL TODAY I WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER AT BAGHER'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT, BUT AFTER MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODAY I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT NEAR IT OR EVEN RECOMMEND IT TO EVEN MY ENEMIES. TONIGHT I ORDERED A VEGGIE PIZZA AND DINNER SALAD FOR TAKE OUT, THE MAN WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE WAS OF FOREIGN DESCENT AND HAD AN ACCENT. I GAVE HIM MY ORDER, THE SAME THING AS ALWAYS, AND HE READ IT BACK TO ME. HE SAID IT WILL BE READY IN 20 MIN AND I ASKED FOR THE TOTAL, HE RUDELY TOLD ME THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW. ME BEING UNDERSTANDING TOLD HIM OK AND LEFT IT AT THAT, I SHOULD OF SEEN THIS AS AN OMINOUS SIGN OF THINGS TO COME. UPON ARRIVAL THE YOUNG WAITRESS WHO USUALLY WAITS ON US GREETED ME AND ASKED IF I WAS THERE FOR A TAKE OUT ORDER. I TOLD HER I WAS THERE TO PICK UP A VEGGIE PIZZA, SHE ASKED IF IT WAS A SUPREME OR A VEGGIE SUPREME PIZZA, I TOLD HER JUST A VEGGIE WITH NO MEAT AND A SALAD. INSTANTLY SHE HAD A LOOK OF CONCERN AS IT TURNED OUT THAT THE COOK/OWNER MADE A SUPREME PIZZA WITH ALL THE VARIETY OF MEATS ON IT. I SAW THE PIZZA SITTING ON THE BOX IN THE OPEN KITCHEN, I CALMLY LOOKED AT THE PIZZA AND POLITELY TOLD THE COOK/OWNER THAT I HAD IN FACT ORDERED A VEGGIE PIZZA BUT WOULD BE WILLING TO WAIT FOR A REMAKE. HE RUDELY TOLD ME THAT I WAS WRONG AND THAT HE WOULD NOT REMAKE THE PIZZA. I WAS TAKEN BY SURPRISE BY HIS RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR. THE WAITRESS ASKED ME IN FRONT OF HIM IF I STILL WANTED THE SALAD AND BEFORE I HAD A CHANCE TO RESPOND HE SAID "NO SALAD FOR YOU EITHER", I WAS IN SHOCK. HE WENT ON TO SAY THAT HE MADE NO MISTAKE AND THAT IT WAS MY FAULT, THIS ALL OF COURSE WITH RUDE GESTURES AND BROKEN ENGLISH ACCENT. I STARTED TO STAND UP FOR MYSELF AGAINST HIS BELIGERENT BEHAVIOR WHEN SUDDENLY THE WAITRESS, WHO SEEMED TO HAVE WITNESSED THIS BEHAVIOR BEFORE, TOLD ME TO FORGET IT AND TO WALK AWAY. I DON'T PERSONALLY THINK SHE WAS BEING RUDE AS MUCH AS SHE WAS TRYING TO DEFUSE A TIME BOMB OF A BOSS/COOK. I CALMLY TOLD HER THAT THIS IS JUST LIKE THE SOUP NAZI EPISODE OF SEINFELD AND THAT I WOULD NOT BE RETURNING EVER AGAIN. HE OF COURSE TOLD ME TO LEAVE AND TO NEVER RETURN. THE WHOLE TIME I NEVER USED PROFANE LANGUAGE OR MADE A SCENE AND THIS IS HOW I GOT TREATED FOR THIS MANS MISTAKE, WHICH BTW WAS THE THIRD TIME HE HAD DONE SO OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS OF EATING THEIR MEDIOCRE FOOD. WHEN I RETURNED HOME EMPTY HANDED, MY GIRL FRIEND ASKED WHAT HAPPENED, I TOLD HER THE STORY, SHE THEN CALLED THE RESTAURANT TO ASK WHAT HAPPENED. THE COOK/OWNER ANSWERED THE PHONE, MY GIRLFRIEND REASSURED HIM THAT SHE WITNESSED ME PLACING THE ORDER FOR A VEGGIE PIZZA AND THAT WE HAVE BEEN VEGETARIANS FOR YEARS AND THAT THERE WOULD BE NO WAY THAT I WOULD ACCIDENTALLY ORDER ANYTHING OTHER THAN VEGGIE. HIS RESPONSE: "WE DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS HERE, AND DON'T EVER COME INTO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN", HE THEN RUDELY HUNG-UP ON HER. THE COOK/OWNER IS A BELLIGERENT JERK AND I FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR THIS TYRANT. THE GOOD PEOPLE OF DENTON DONT DESERVE THIS AND HAVE PLENTY OF BETTER PIZZA OPTIONS, JJ's PIZZA IS MUCH BETTER AND PROFESSIONAL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THIS MAN IS THE PIZZA NAZI AND HAS NO BUSINESS RUNNING A RESTAURANT THAT SERVES CIVILIZED HUMANS!
Went for my first Hookah experience with a friend. She had been before but I had no idea what to expect. When we got there it was quiet so we were able to chat a bit (~9pm) and as it got later, the louder night life started up and the atomosphere was very lively. The staff was so down-to-earth and friendly and the Hookah was fantastic. The music selections were great as well. The place is definetely on my list of favorite DFW night life spots!
