Place is awesome if you want a mediocre burger that anywhere else would cost 8 bucks. Here though, you're looking at 20 bucks nearly. Lady on the phone was rude as well. Called to ask if they served food and she acted like I asked if the sky was blue on a clear day. Obviously I should have known that they do since I'm not from Canadian but evidently everyone knows about the goat. I can't say anything about the concerts but I know they have some good bands if you're into red dirt.

I would like to compliment the wait staff, bartenders and all service personnel on their excellent service and professional demeanor. But your owner and boss, that rather rotund little entitled gentleman by the name of Milton Something, is a complete and utter nonsensical individual when it comes to running a business. I hope you guys continue to get paid every week. Today I decided to frequent this establishment, just as I have a number of other nights. I have probably spent over a thousand dollars in there over the time I have been working in this little piece of heaven called Canadian. Forget the fact that it is the LEAST friendly oilfield town I have ever had the pleasure of being subjected to temporarily reside in and I will continue. I arrived at approximately 545 pm while the "band" if you can call it that, was performind sound checks. NOTE 1 on my list for your little turd owner Milton: Dont let the band perform sound checks while you have a busy business. They might be disencouraged (as I was) to stick around because they have heard the upcoming product, and it BLOWS. I stayed anyway. MY MISTAKE. I probably spent another 40 dollars in there before his minions, (I still like you guys, especially Tiff,) started alerting people that they would need to pay a cover if they stayed. A great number of people proceeded to leave. (maybe they had heard the sound checks...) I was graciously allowed to stay while I finished the beer and onion rigs I PAID FOR...I was about to order one of their delicious (but still over priced) 12 DOLLAR SANDWICHES after having a few more beers. I was then, by the polite bar staff, asked to leave if I was not going to pay the cover. I had at that point spent 40 dollars or so, and had planned to have a few more beers before getting a sandwich and leaving. I politely (other opinions may vary) explained my point of view to the bar staff. I was told that did not matter I needed to pay the cover. A dollar is a dollar is a dollar, ladies and gentlemen. I didn't care to hear the horrendous band I had already had the pleasure of hearing. I paid my tab and approached that little Oompa Loompa owner in a passive manner to ask why he thought it was a sound business practice. At this point the bar had at least HALF emptied out and I guarantee you there was not a line to get in, (as I write this the same sorry band is performing to probably their moms and dads and girlfriend groupie types.... I explained if the cover was waived I would have sat there and had probably three more beers (12-16 $$$ and a 12$$$ sandwich and tipped 6 or 9 $$$ Thats at least 34 bucks for the short bus crowd. I commented I was leaving if I had to pay the cover, so not only was he losing the 10 dollar cover but the 34 dollar plus food and beverage and tip amount) He proceeded to tell me that was of little consequence and he had to charge a cover. Hey chief, if no one if in there and buying beer or food, YOU MAKE NO MONEY....! I have a college degree (not in mathematics) but I don't understand this particular logic. If you ever are curious about the band, go up on the night they are gonna play but about 3 hours early. You, like myself, will probably make the prudent decision NOT to pay the cover. Thank you.
