Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant
Reviews

I love how I can just take a stroll to the river walk and if I'm hungry there's LAS PALMAS. This place has a amazing mexican margaritas and mexican martinis. I love the Xango cheese cake dessert. Not to forget the food is good. Let me keep it short: This place is nice and the view is beautiful.

Absolutely love the margaritas!!!

This place has severely deteriorated from when it was the Jardin Corona. It's hard not to make a comparison when they kept the exact same menu with just the different name. Waitress failed to bring water after it was asked for as well as a coke husband ordered. Waitress never came to check back after food was deliverd (by someone else). Waitress had been asked twice if food was the same, specifically the Molé which she affirmed. Molé was terrible. I have ordered it many times between the Burnet and Liberty Hill location of Jardin Carona and it was much different. No sweet element , just bitter. Possibly it had scorched. Chicken quality had suffered as well, instead of mostly white meat it was dark. Husband agreed sauce was inedible. The salsa that came with the chips was watery, not up to the past standards. Dish that avacado came in was not entirely clean. Waitress reluctantly offered to brIng new entree but I declined in favor of one of the pull up taco places in Burnet. Husband's food discerned as "bland". Were there any pros you may ask? The drinks were fine. I'm hopeless that any germs from a sketchy sanitation process were killed off by the alcohol. Eat here at your own risk, and of course your mileage may vary. Who knows, cook could have been out sick and a disgruntled employee was maning the kitchen?
