Good coffee, friendly staff, a must-stop everytime I'm in town.

This is a great place. I stop in almost everyday. The staff call me by name and know what I drink. Everyone is friendly and I have yet to have a bad experence. The management cares about the customer, their product and service is by far the best on Main Street. The cost is almost half of Starbucks and espresso is every bit as good. Friendly service, great product and reasonable price, what else do you need?

This place is awesome!! I drive from lakehills TX atleast twice a month to get my coffee..the service is incredible and the coffee is outstanding!!! This place definitely puts Starbucks to shame!!! The only problem I have is they close too early in the day but hey, we live in such a small place, the business probably isn't enough to keep em open that late...

I must say that whoever wrote the last review must just be a negative person in general to have experienced all of that at the Dogleg Coffeehouse. Yes, the are limited in choice of syrups, but you can order your coffee just how you like if you tell them. The coffee is exceptional in flavor. I have personally worked at a very popular coffee shop in Bandera, and I have to say that the coffee brewed at Dogleg beats the pants off of them! The way it is pressed in the brewing process makes it so. Yes, the staff is under trained. I will say that. The pastries are not made there, but are quite wonderful. The place is clean, shows off local artists work, has live music every friday and saturday night, has outside seating, and is in a very cool building. The coffee drinks are super cheap, especially compared to Starbucks. The pastries are comperable though. Ive had nothing but good experiences in their and Ive been there way more times than I could count. I highly recommend!

I stopped into the cafe for the first time, and I have to say i left irritated. When I walked in I was greeted by an older gentleman running the espresso machine. I looked around and took the place in. It is nice inside, very clean. Well i walked up to the wrong counter. In all my gawking I totally missed the little " order here " sign. Apparently I walked up to the "pick up" counter. Standing there was a young girl reading a textbook. She didn't look up until I said hello. Then she just stood there and stared at me. I said I would like to order an espresso, she just continued to stare at me like I had something growing out of my forehead . So I asked with growing irritation , " Can I order here ? " . She continued to just stare at me. I was moments from throwing up my hands and walking out when the older gentleman working the espresso machine noticed what was happening and stepped in. He directed me to the order counter, and the tiny little menu . He then told the young lady to take my order. I told her i wanted a triple espresso. She repeated my order and if she hadn't been rude enough she actually tried to correct me ," One triple EXpresso" she said. Thats right, she enunciated in a cocky little tone. The comical part is she was of course wrong. There is no X in espresso. She did not make me feel welcome. On the contrary she made me feel uncomfortable, and unwanted. Instead of helping me through my first visit, she made me feel like an idiot for not knowing how they do things. If the older gentleman hadn't stepped in. I would have walked out and never come back. The espresso was good though.
