Doesn't matter when you go or how many people you go with, the service will be awful. The food is okay, pretty generic. The best thing about this place is eating out on a deck instead of inside a dim building.
The food was fabulous but the kitchen couldn't handle large groups. We had 16 in our group and the wait for food was over 90 minutes. We visited on a week night, too, so it wasn't even that crowded. All of the food was excellent, from the fried fish to the flounder sandwiches to the tuna appetizer special to the gumbo. Visit in a small group and you won't be disappointed with Mickey's at Hampton's Landing.
We are locals and this is one of our favorite places to go. It reminds my wife of Key West. The food is very good but being on the water is better. As far as serving time we have a saying here. If you want fast food go to Dallas or Houston. Go and enjoy.
