This establishment has some of the rudest wait staff I have ever dealt with. You have to beg for refills and will hardly speak to you or check on you. Food is good but with such poor service it is not enjoyable. Margaritas has same quality food and much nicer waiters!
There are now only 2 Mexican restaurants in Oakland and this one has the best food. They area moving to a new location soon and their decor will be much better than it is now. They have been in Oakland for years and I hope people will continue to support them.
We continually have eaten at El Nopal Mexican Restaurant over the past year and have never been disappointed! We always receive delicious and hot food in a timely manner. Although, I've heard other complain about the service, my family has never had a problem. The prices are also very decent.

I live in Oakland, TN and frequent the El Nopal restaurant about once a week. I find that the food is good but the folks there need to learn the english language as far as taking an order. Somehow the order is never prepared the way I order it. I can however take my business to the Hacienda Restaurant down the street and I know that my order will be prepared the way I want it. I can also tell all the folks that live in Oakland as well as my visitors that your establishment is not the place they want to go to for good service. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the service.
