Just left here... the food was awesome. Ann R #31 was our waitress. ... she was an awesome server.. even had a new girl following her named Tori. Super nice ladies. The guy bartender was super rude to me and his employees. I spoke to the manager Josh and all he did was defend him saying he didn't mean anything by it. Didn't offer anything other than I'm sorry. I'm sure nothing will happen to this bartender. I knew nothing would come about talking to a manager. So long story short.. food was awesome, props to the cooks, and props to Ann and Tori and the new bartending lady I did not get her name. She makes god drinks. But very bad front of the house management and the head bartender. He's been there 3 years and doesn't know the drink menu.... poor management and bar skills. I should have offered a week of training for free to teach respect to customers and knowing the menu you serve for three years!

I've been dining at Boskey's since about the time they opened, and over the years, the quality has varied from time to time: no surprise there. However, my last experience on Friday, July 31, 2014 was, by far the worst. First, our server, Deborah, seemed to be distracted, vague, but pleasant enough. There were three of us, and when we ordered drinks, I asked for a beer. Deborah offered a chilled glass, and I accepted. When the drinks were delivered, she had forgotten the glass. I asked for it, and she replied that she would take our food order and then get the glass. Indeed, in the fullness of time, the glass arrived. While both of my companions ordered steak of one kind or another, I ordered a new dish, the crab-stuffed shrimp. Deborah asked if I would like a salad, and I opted for the Caesar salad and a baked potato. The salad was very good, unfortunately it was an extra charge added to my $17 entree which she did not mention. When the meals arrived, my baked potato was literally swimming in butter and sour cream. I prefer a plain potato with perhaps a little butter. However, I was not asked and thus received the full treatment. I requested another potato which arrived promptly; it was over-baked. The potato had obviously been cooked long before, and had taken on the slightly burned taste that potatoes will develop if left too long under the heat lamps. The crab-stuff shrimp with only one side was bland and uninteresting. It tasted like shrimp, crab meat, and a little cheese. Period. No lemon, no wine, no cognac, no spices. Not even a dash of Old Bay seasoning. It was, in short, a great disappointment. One of our party was celebrating his birthday. Deborah offered him a dessert compliments of the restaurant. It was, he said, very good. However, after delivering the dessert, she returned to ask him his exact birth date, and when told informed us that, sorry, it must be within five days (it was seven) to qualify for the free dessert. So an extra charge appeared on his bill. Happy Birthday. I have crossed off Boskey's from my list of preferred eating places. No big deal, I only go there 10 or 12 times a year.

No place in my town, Tullahoma, except Emil's to have a nice dinner. After finding Boskey's, casual and open for lunch too, I decided to drive the twenty miles and try it. Now I go to no other place to treat myself. The food is excellent, (not on the level of an Emil's or for steaks a Ruth's Chris), service always friendly and they cut their own meats. Try one of their Ultimate Club sandwiches and, unless you are a glutton, I guarantee you will be taking half of it home. Now, should you think I have a connection, therefore writing this review, think again and stop in at Lowe's to see me for I am just a working stiff writing an honest review. Buddy Nichols

Giving it 1 star is still too nice of a compliment. I went with my mom, sister, and her friend. Food is overpriced and the worst I have ever had. Service is horrible. Manager was rude. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tasted like it was soaked in oil for weeks. My mom ordered the roast beef sandwich. It had hot and cold spots. Meat was turned and she got food poisoning. She told the manager and he was snippy about it. He didn't do anything. She was sick for a month from this. Sister's friend ordered the rice. It was very soggy in a bowl of oil. Sister didn't order. (thankfully) We couldn't even bring it home for the dog due to the fear of him getting sick. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I never wanted to write such a bad review, but I don't want anyone else getting as ill as we did.
