Tim Adams November 15, 2014 at 8:17 pm • Reply What a delightful evening at Bight of the Bend. You, sir, most certainly delivered on your brand with flair and flavor. I have lived and traveled in over 20 states of the U.S. and have not eaten any finer cuisine anywhere. I have been a cook myself for over 40 years and specialized in bbq meats for 10 years. I have tasted the finest barbecued pork and beef in Texas and the Carolinas. Yet this pulled pork shoulder with the Red Fox sauce surpassed all. Even the gastric replay is delightful. The garlic/parmesan potatoes were scrumptious and the bill was fabulous. Read your diatribe on tipping – thought it was informative, humorous, and a bit overkill but it was really nice for me and my lady to walk out the door so full on less than two twenties. We will be back. I can think of at least two other reasons on the menu for a return. Hats off to you! My review is five stars. Tim Adams, Baxter, TN

My wife and I went to Bight of the Bend a few months ago. The BBQ ribs were amazing and my wife said her chicken was the best she has ever tasted. Homemade coleslaw was great, sweet and a little spicy at the same time. We finished the meal with bourbon bread pudding. Service was great, they made you feel like you were part of the family. Its definitely a drive from Nashville, but worth it if you are looking for a hidden gem.

Everything about my dinner was fabulous!! Love the coziness of the place and the owner made a point of talking to everyone in the restaurant. Great experience!

Bight of the Bend is a fabulous addition to the array of restaurants settling in the quaint, historic town of Gainesboro. I felt at home surrounded by the rustic and charming atmosphere and, to my delight, the service was great. I was even served and personally greeted by the owner himself. The food was extraordinary. I wanted to stay for seconds, maybe even thirds. Bight of the Bend puts a distinctive and delicious spin on barbeque, much unlike your usual Tennessee barbeque joint.

The food is staggeringly good, and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out--romantic, unpretentious, comfortable, unexpected. Gainesboro is on the map.
