Stay away! You can tell alot about a place by the smell when you walk in.The service was good but the food was greasy and unsafe on the buffet. We ate there because the parking lot was full, but the locals must know what to avoid. Bad idea! Paid a $100 for three people on the buffet and my wife was sick that night and me the next morning. The glass of water my wife was given had a funky taste. It was a bad enough experience that I was inspired to write my first review ever!
It was a great experience. We ate around 2:00 on a Saturday and there was lots of fresh food being put out. It all tasted good and the service was great. We were concerned though about all of that food being put out with only a few tables filled. We were wondering if they were getting ready for the dinner rush. Not sure, but that is what we observed. Nonetheless, I would eat there again even though there are a lot of complaints on here about JoDeans.
Thursday night's menu includes liver and onions, stuffed peppers, baked salmon, stroganoff, steak and onions, along with the usual several other meats, salads, sparkling fresh vegetables, dessert & taco bar. The meal is always delicious & easy on the pocket book . Mom and dad might enjoy a cool beverage in the restored turn of the century saloon. On Friday the family will enjoy seafood night with shrimp, all you can eat crab legs, scallops, clams, walleye, catfish and probably some lasagna too. Excellent, good value, & healthy food in a clean family atmosphere.
The food was horrible, the service wasn't great and we both felt a little sick the rest of the day. I have since learned that they are being sued by the health department. We are lucky we didn't get sicker than we did.
