This place is great. Good variety, fresh stuff, quick service. The sandwiches are really good and affordable for lunch too. In addition, you can get yesterday's Bagels by the dozen for cheap and a full service coffee bar.
I love Bagel Boy's food especially the tortilla soup and the crab salad. However I think the male manager at the E 26th street location in Sioux Falls needs to work on his "people skills." My coworkers and I often choose Bagel Boy for lunch runs and will each spend $10-$15 a pop every time we go there. Typically one person goes and picks up lunch for everyone. On my coworkers' most recent visit she went in to place multiple orders and was not in a rush or pressuring them, but was treated rudely and as if our business was a nuisance. When she called to speak with a manager about how she was treated, it turns out the manager was the one helping her. I can understand multiple orders might be overwhelming, but its our money going into the Bagel Boy cash drawer. If the manager doesn't appreciate our regular business we will go elsewhere. Luckily, a new Panera Bread just opened up a few blocks away! :)
When we moved to Sioux Falls a little over a year ago we started buying bagels at Bagel boy.....They were quite good, even the day old ones. However, we have found that the rudeness of the staff overshadows the great taste of the food, therefore, we quit going. They have lost all our business until they change their staff OR the people who work there realize that it is not that difficult to be pleasant. such a shame
This place is great! I love the food and the atmosphere is inviting, casual and comfortable. A great place to catch up with a friend or relax and grab a bite to eat.
foos is amazing, but the staff at the 26th street location is rude to eachother anf to some cutomers.
