Wish this family restaurant was within my community! Wonderful home cooked meal, priced reasonable, excellent pies, maybe the best I have ever eaten. All meals are generous portions, restaurant very clean, neat, and well cared for by staff. This is an excellent place to enjoy, breakfast and lunch in this community, you can always be assured of quality, cleanliness, and friendly faces there! Its super! Enjoy!!
You're not going to find anything exceptionally fancy here, but what you will find is some tasty and thoughtfully prepared comfort food and some of the friendliest service on earth. The soup of the day was knoepfla, which was some of the best stuff I've had from a restaurant in a long time. The dumplings were well cooked without being gummy, the base was well seasoned - seriously, I would've brought this home with me in a giant bucket if I could. The Great Plains burger was solid, if not exceptional - the patty was hand-formed and well seasoned if a tad bit overcooked. Dessert made up for it though. The pies are exceptional. Among our party of four we shared blueberry, apple, and coconut cream. All were amazing (they're apparently made by the mother of our exceedingly delightful server), but the coconut cream was definitely the standout. And to boot, you're going to get some of the genuinely nicest service you could ever find. On a nearly-dead Sunday afternoon in Mobridge, this place was packed. Trust the locals on this one and stop in.
