My wife and children went to Mellow Mushroom for lunch on 1/20/15. My oldest daughter suffers from dairy, egg, and peanut food allergies. Much to to our surprise Mellow Mushroom offers a dairy free cheese option for their pizzas which is extremely rare to find, that was not the best part of their visit though. John, the manager, at Mellow Mushroom came to their table and brought the labels for the pizza dough, sauce, and other ingredients they use to make their pizza and let my wife look at them to make sure they were allergen free. He then proceeded to open brand new packages of dough, sauce, and dairy free cheese and personally cooked our daughter's pizza using the new packages of ingredients to make sure there was no cross-contamination whatsoever. Because of him my daughter was able to for the first time in her life order a pizza at a restaurant. This may not seem like a huge thing to most people but for her, with her battles with allergens and not usually being able to order food out, this was the highlight of our trip to Myrtle Beach. Thank you John for making my daughter's day and week special, we will be back often as we visit Myrtle at least once a month and my daughter now says we have to go to Mellow Mushroom every time we visit. By the way she says the pizza was awesome, even better than the ones I make at home for her, not sure if I agree with that part but I guess she knows best. My wife said the waiter also went out of his way to wash his hand between touching my daughter's food and any other dishes. Thanks again absolutely awesome service, very, very impressed. Gary H

The gluten free pizza was FANTASTIC!! The crust is thin and crunchy. The veggie toppings were fresh. I am gluten free because of medical reason and I didn't get sick at all so measures taken by the kitchen staff was great and NO cross contamination. Our waitress Lauren, was very informative and able to answer all our questions. She brought out a hot pizza, kept our drinks topped off and was very friendly. Thanks for the wonderful experience: It was so good to eat pizza again; it was like I was eating regular pizza. A+++

Being a vegetarian is always tough, especially when you don't want to be eating salads and portobello mushrooms all day. This place had AWESOME and many options. Delicious tempeh sandwiches, we actually went for lunch and came back for dinner. That good. Oh yes. Aso the best bruchetta ever. coming back as much as possible while visiting!

Waited over 45 minutes for a small cheese pizza. Ridiculous for the easiest thing on the menu and it wasn't even that good.

Great pizza, great beer, great service....can you ask for more?
