November 1, 2014. My first visit to this restaurant. I was delightfully impressed to find this jewel in Troy, PA. The atmosphere was very comfortable. People dinning were dressed casually and appeared to local friends or families. My server, Mandy, approached with table with an obvious joy about her work. She was polished, professional, and friendly. The service throughout my dinner was impeccable and welcoming. I dined on the 12 o.z. prime rib that was special on Saturday night. This came with a ceasar salad, choice of potato, and vegetable of the day (sauteed green beans almondine). I asked for, and was able to receive an end cut on the prime rib. The portion was generous! I also ordered a glass of a locally vinted Cabernet. I was especially impressed with the prime rib. It was the best and most unique rib I have ever had (and I worked restaurants for twenty years). There was this subtle sweet glaze made with brown sugar, rosemary, and cracked black pepper. The rib was a succulent Medium Rare. It nearly melted in my mouth. The glaze was a perfect accent to the sweetness of the meat. It was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this fine food dining establishment with a welcoming, family attitude.
