Ghezzi's is truly the BEST restaurant in the area! Any time we have out of town guests we take them there and we have never been disappointed. On Wednesdays and Thursdays they have very reasonably priced menu options. You won't regret a trip to Ghezzi's !!!
Either we were there on a bad night, or the rest of the people rating this restaurant have not been to a good place to eat. I had the chicken cordon Bleu, the piece of chicken was heavily breaded and seemed to be deep fried, with two thinly sliced pieces of ham placed on top with the cheese then added. I guess they then placed the whole concoction in the oven to melt the cheese. Then it was placed on butter noodles with a supposedly Alfredo sauce poured over it. The sauce was tasteless and seemed to be straight out of a can. Another had the crab cakes and said they were great, another had the steak and said it was OK, and another had the scallops which were very good, but had the same tasteless sauce poured over them also. I would go again to see if this was an off night or what, but for a first visit and the prices, I was not impressed. They need a chef that has pride in their work.
By chance we decided to take the drive from Selinsgrove to Ghezzi'. There were four of us. You can spend a small fortune here, but you also can spend very little....example: excellent lasgne bolognese for 10$ along with soup. My son had excellent chicken parm. I do not know if the more expensive items are as good, but this was one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. Highly recommended
