We stopped here for lunch while driving home from Ohio. It doesn't look like much, but the service was prompt and friendly and the sandwiches and coffee were made fresh. Really a great alternative to the endless franchise "choke&pukes" along the Interstate.
Back in 2002 on a road trip, a few friends and I were starving after visiting Niagara Falls. We stopped in the first place we found after leaving New York and found this small, but amazing pub. There is a bar, pool table, and then restaurant. Wings I believe were 25 cents each, so I ordered one of ever flavor (there are QUITE a few flavors). The absolute best one was Terry's Gold. We ended up ordering enough of those for everyone to have more than their fill, and even ordered some to take with us. If ever I'm up anywhere near there again, I will be back. This place was AMAZING...and I've never had a better wing in my life.
Had dinner here one night recently, didn't expect much given the outside appearance, but it was the only restaurant around the Holiday Inn where we stayed (hint: avoid the Holiday Inn!). We really liked it, a nice down home atmosphere, food wasn't exceptional but it was fine and reasonably priced. The waitress we had was just fantastic, even though it was getting pretty late and she was super busy. If I lived in the area I'd definitely go there regularly, and it looked like most of the people there were locals.
I was just there over the weekend because I was staying at the Holiday Inn for a wedding. We ran into a few rednecks at the bar trying to pick up anything with a hole and a heartbeat. The barmaid grabbed her fat roll while telling us about the bars exceptional food. Meh, its ok.. nothing exceptional but if your stuck at the Holiday Inn.. its better than nothing.
