Stella A's Bar & Grill

Awesome atmosphere. Helpful staff.
Pleasantly surprised!!! I'm a Lock Haven native, but haven't been there in 30+ years--was in town for the memorial of a friend and the front desk clerk at the Fairfield Inn recommended Stella's. I was so happy she did! They have the best spanikopita I've ever had, better than the Greek restaurants in Pgh.!! The hummus was VERY good--chunky and delicious!! The owner walked around to check all the tables and our waitress was very sweet. I highly recommend Stella A's and will definitely go back again in my future trips to L.H.!
In my opinion, this is the best new restaurant in Lock Haven. The chef is excellent. The menu has a Greek twist to it, which is noticeable in a town that does not stray from the basic meat and potatoes format. There is a full bar where the town-gown locals gather and the conversation is interesting and wide ranging.
I loved the food there, the service was amazing the owner came out to see how everthing was and I ask for a sauce they didnt have so he went back and had the chef make it for me, huge plus, but the only down fall is being a native to lock haven, Stella A's is more a place for the judges, lawyers, and higher class people in town. It just seems that when you walk in the door if your not upper class you get the look of "are you lost?"
This place is way overrated. You are better off taking your $60 to Walmart. Its true, they will kiss your butt like the other reviews say, but that doesnt mask average over-priced food.
