Texas Hot Lunch
Reviews
I ordered a Texas hot dog and a quarter pound texas burger with mayo added. 10 minutes later my gf orders a chicken gyro. 20 minutes later we get our food. There's only four or five other customers in there the whole time and just as many unattentive staff. The hot dog I waited a half hour for I practically inhaled and it was mediocre. I waited another 10 minutes to get the waitress's attention to tell her they didn't put any of the Texas sauce or onions on the burger. I get the burger back with the toppings and it is top 3 worst burgers I've ever had. I hate two thirds of it and quit from lack of interest and desire. The chicken gyro was good though.
If you like Texas hots this is the place to go. Even if you don't care for hot dogs like me they also serve burgers with Texas hot sauce. We make a point to stop whenever we go through Kane. Great food, good prices. Give them a try.
Will not accept credit cards, of course they don't mention that until you are ready to pay. "We have an ATM in house though", which happens to come with a service charge from the restaurant (so they charge you to pay them). Refills on fountain drinks are charged also. Meatball sub was average at best, meatballs had little flavor. Friend had a gyro that was more beef than lamb
*Cash only joint* Had lunch here with my family. Service was excellent. Most food was very good. Unfortunately their Texas Hots, weren't made with Smith's hotdogs. They tasted like cheap Ballpark Franks. With such a high quality, well loved hotdog like Smith's readily available they are doing themselves a disservice by serving a cheap hotdog.
clean restrooms, good service, parking across the street, tasty burger - try the Souvlaki Dinner (spelling?)! It's delicious too!
