nice little restraunt on the corner of 2nd and Pacific, The Blue Moon offers a quick, tasty meal for tourists and locals. Basically a sit down restraunt, all you have to do is order at the counter. On the first time, our waitresses were friendly, and bussed our food although I initially thought we had to bus our own. My sandwich was good, although I should have subbed a soup for the potato chips. Value was average: $7-8 for a good sandwich.

Stopped in for a quick snack. Ordered Marion Berry cobbler. It was pie filling poured into a bowl, microwaved with a small biscuit placed on top. The carrot cake was described as the same flavor as Safeway's. Glad I didn't order the Chef-boy-R D spaghetti. Of course I'm the fool for expecting any shop in Tillamook to serve quality. The last thing any customer in Tillamook would expect is "Real" cobbler.

We enjoyed our lunch at Blue Moon today. We ordered The Westerner, served on a deli roll with tender chicken breast and ham, swiss, lettuce and tomato. A bag of potato chips and 3 pickle chips on the side ($7.95). Beware as the juicy chicken is served in strips and tends to fall out of the sandwich. The Blue Moon Sandwich is a saucy, cheesy mushroom & onion chicken breast sandwich with the sauce tasting similar to fry sauce, served on sourdough. A common theme to many of the sandwiches on the menu is the mushroom and onion. Cheddar mac salad (ditalini pasta) featured peas and diced pickle. The Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad (penne pasta) had cucumber, red bell pepper and black olive with romaine lettuce. Lastly, we enjoyed a slice each of coconut cream pie and carrot cake ($4.95 each). Healthy portion, fresh baked and great taste. (Average cost $11.75/person for lunch, drink & dessert) What Blue Moon is doing RIGHT: Staff greet many customers by name. Overall, a fresh tasting lunch and dessert at average prices served promptly. Where Blue Moon could IMPROVE: We wished for fresh brewed tea instead of out of the soda fountain. Simplify the order process. As new customers, we weren't familiar with finding the stack of menus, sit and read then walk back up to the counter to order.

I stop here on my way from Portland to Oceanside and it never fails to satisfy. The burgers are great and the garden burgers are amazing. Very nice people and not out of the way at all. 15 bucks will feed two people!

Cheesesteak and cheeseburger were great. Would visit again.
