I took my Stepdaughter to dinner this evening and had the worst service I have ever experienced. The pizza I ordered was fantastic---as always, but our server "Ashley" was rude to us and spent a lot of her time chatting with a couple of people she appeared to know. I will only be ordering "To Go" pizzas from them in the future. In 30 plus years of dining out this is only the second time I was forced to leave NO TIP.

My husband and I were looking for a place we never tried before. A friend referd us to the Buckboard Grill. We both loved it.

Have read the reviews re:Buckboard service, food, etc. and feel that they are unjust. I cannot speak to the dinner or bar visits, as I have not partaken of that aspect of the business but on Sunday Sept. 22, 2013, a guest an I attended the brunch, upon entering we were warmly welcomed by Rick who introduced himself and instructed us on the brunch procedure. We had not been at our table more than a minute or two when Rick offered us champagne, my guest could not drink alcohol, due to medication, Rick mixed her a non-alcohol drink. The food selection was well prepared, plentiful, warm and certainly well worth the money. Once again, our thanks to Rick and the gent that served the coffee, both were very professional and customer oriented. I will be back.

My husband and I just came from the Buckboard and were sorely disappointed. We had to wait at the hostess station while the hostess fumbled in the drawers to get our forks and bucket of peanuts (which were stale). We ordered the BBQ combination because it was supposed to be a huge portion for $23 and the Haystack Onions as an appetizer. The onions had no seasoning and were blah, the dipping sauce was supposed to be a bbq sauce but all we could taste was vinegar. The tri-tip was flavorless, dry and tough, the taste was close to that of dairy cow meat. The corn on the cob was water logged and mushy and looked like it came out of frozen food case at the grocery store. The chicken portion of the dish consisted of a drum stick and thigh, again no flavor. We had hopes for the 2 baby back ribs but once again no flavor. All the meat tasted like it had been pre-cooked, frozen then reheated. I don't think they use any seasoning or dry rubs on the meat. Oh and the corn bread muffin was barely baked, it was gummy and flavorless. All in all the best part of the meal was our iced tea. Please brighten up the dim and outdated decor and get rid of the Christmas lights. We walked out of there for $32 plus a $5 tip for our waitress, because she did give us good service. No, we won't be going back.

Just returned from the Buckboard and have to say it was not a good experience. My wife wanted an order of shrimp and a baked potato. No dice. In order to get the shrimp she had to order 'surf and turf' $24.00. I ordered 'soup and salad bar' $9.00. The problem there was they didn't have a salad bar, and instead I was served something slightly larger than a small dinner salad. I ordered a mixed drink. Fifteen minutes later I had not received my drink. I ordered it again from another server and ten minutes later I still had not received my drink. I had to go to the bar to get my drink. The gentlemen sitting next to me ordered the Salmon Fish and Chips and said the fish had to be old and wasn't good at all. To be fair, there was a sizable group of women and some of us husbands who showed up for dinner this evening. Reservations had been made. They may have been overwhelmed. Poor planning. I have had their pizza and a beer in the past and both were excellent. Hard to screw up a beer.
