A blast from the past! We had a great dinner and wonderful time. First, the food - we both had the chicken fried steak which was nicely seasoned and the breading was crisp and not too thick -just right. I opted for curly fries which were crisp on the outside and suitably tender inside. My wife had the home-made mashed potatoes - I had a taste - and they were just like Mom used to make; creamy and delicious. We both had buttered fresh sweet corn, which was the perfect side. The decor is nostalgic and a bit worn; although very clean. The photos on the walls are a history lesson about the town and its people. The service was prompt and friendly. Our total bill for dinner was $21.00 which included two drinks. Based upon our initial experience, I would recommend the Kumback Lunch - we will be coming back!
Very good food and amazing staff. A little pricey for the food but it's worth it.
