Over priced Leftovers! Nothing fresh except the bread. He should close the BBQ and open a bread store. Even then the bread isn't suited for Buns. I Also think the positive views must be fake.
This place is actually located in Ingersoll, Oklahoma. Small, down-home, quaint with parking to accomodate big trucks. Wonderful, flavorful Bar-B-Que...tender, smoked beef ribs and brisket, homemade Bar-B-Que sauce. If you are headed west on highway 64 towards Alva, Oklahoma you need to plan to stop here if you like Bar-B-Que.
Literally the best BBQ in the state of Oklahoma. The food and service is wonderful. It's a little pricey but wwwaaayyyy worth it. Delicious food,and great service. I rate it a 10/10 in BBQ rating. In a regular restraunt I rate it 9.8/10. Pretty great!
I live near Ingersoll and we frequent the Smok shack every now and then, but I now know WHY THEIR PRICES ARE SO HIGH! On their Dinner specialties, they offer a choice of two sides (corn, baked beans, cottage cheese, coleslaw. Along with these choices there is a choice of onion rings, hand cut fries, Suzie Q fries, and Okra. This is the catch----Be careful when you are ordering off their menu, because ALL DEEP FRIED FOODS are 1.59 extra and ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SPECIALTIES PRICE ON THE MENU, and the menu DOES NOT STATE THIS! What should have been a $20.00 meal for two turned into $31.00!!!! Until they make their menu clearer, I will not go back and will be spreading the word all over about their misrepresentations on the menu. Also, if your meal does not include their cobbler dessert, BE CAREFUL WHEN THEY OFFER IT--They make it appear as if it is included and then they charge you for it!
Sundays they have all you can eat ribs, including all you can eat sides. It is awesome, we make a stop here 3-4 times a year on the way back to KS from the Sand Dunes in Waynoka. I tell everyone about this place, its awesome.
